From This Moment by Melanie Harlow
Confession time!!! I do like romances that has a tinge of the forbidden… just don’t go crazy on me. When I say a tinge, I mean a tinge. Don’t go dousing me in an ocean of water and call that a tinge.
I like the premise of this book. I love that Wes is Hannah’s brother-in-law. I dig it. Seeing the Valentinis again is not bad either. I really love that Melanie Harlow delved into the dynamics with judgmental in-laws and small town mentality. Small towns are awesome (I do love them!) but gossip do ran rampant. If you go against the general consensus of propriety, they will eat you alive.
“I knew the moment I saw you that you were the one.” But this time he went on. “The one I’d always love. The one I’d always dream about. The one I’d always wish was mine.”
There are so many heart melting parts to this book. The only reason I didn’t give this a full five stars, the only one, is that I wished Wes pursued Hannah harder than he did. I am a little bit ashamed to say but he is too much of a gentleman. TOO MUCH. I wish he tried harder and did not turn her down the first time she kissed him because of some stupid sense of morals. I mean just kiss her back and take her to bed for crying out loud! He waited 10 years for his chance and BAM! Nada. With that said, please pick up up your copy of this book. You would not be disappointed.
