SKILL. That is what differentiates authors who can write a book with triggers and those who cannot. I have mentioned this before. A lot of writers shy away from triggers for fear of limiting readership. Sam Mariano does not have this problem because the woman has skills!

She was able to tackle difficult (and controversial) topics and treat them with the seriousness that they deserve. Whatever values and preconceptions you have is thrown out the window when you read a Sam Mariano books. She makes you like the unlikable characters and have you begging for more.

This story hooked me because it really showcases the tremendous inner strength of the heroine.  She was able to overcome a horrible thing done to her. Overall, I fell in love with both Willow and Ethan. Their story makes you believe in fate and that love can bloom even in the most unlikely circumstances. Love, love, love it.
