Marie J

For our first newbie author interview, we have Marie J. Please come and help me support new first time authors and their first foray into publishing.

Me: Hi Marie! Welcome to Feels Like The First Time!

Marie: Hello!

Me: So, if you don’t already know, this is all about featuring first time authors who are about to publish their very first book. Guess what?

Marie: <looks around nervously> What?

Me: <rubbing hands with glee> You are my guinea pig and you get to be first!

Marie: Oh great!… <still looking nervous>

Me: Don’t worry. You’ll love me. I only stalk authors… oh, look at that. You are now one! So first question. What can you tell me about your very first book that just released? How long did it take you to write this book?

marie1Marie: My first project is called Buried (A Cold Springs Novel). It is a new adult/romance fiction novel. Kateri’s story entails experiences of love, life, and the many challenges that come along with it. Spent 8 months of constant revision, rewrites, and content addition. Loved every minute of it.

Me: How are you feeling right now? Exited? Super scared?

Marie: Finding my voice and style as an author has been amazing. Putting yourself out there and sharing your work with the rest of the world is both exhilarating and terrifying.

Me: Are you working on your next book? If yes, can you tell us about it?

Marie: Glad you asked. I am currently working on the following projects: 1.) Broken, the second book in the Cold Springs Novels. It picks up right where Buried left off. 2.) The Winter Blues. It tells the story of Effie, a singer songwriter in the Big Apple, and the one night that changed her life forever, meeting Rowan.

Me: I think that covers all my questions. See, I am not so bad. Hope you come back soon when you publish your next book!

Marie: Thanks for having me! Bye!

Me: <Puts Marie on my stalking list>
