Sam Crescent

Hi All! Today at Author Stalker, we have the awesome Sam Crescent. She is your go to person if you are looking for a hot steamy romance read.

Me: Hi, Sam!

Sam: Hi!

Me: Why is it hot in here? Are you writing another book?

Sam: <just smiles at me>

Me: Do you mind if I ask you a few questions for Author Stalker? Don’t get alarmed with the name. We are harmless. Promise!

Sam: Sure

Me: How long have you been writing? Are you writing full time or part time?

Sam: I’ve been writing all my life but I’ve been writing full-time now for five years and into my sixth.

Me: What influenced you to be a writer?

Sam: I’ve always had stories in my head and characters that just demand to be noticed, and I stopped ignoring them long enough to write their story. When I finish one story, I go right on into the next.

Me: What was your first book published? How did you feel when you published it? Excited? Scared?

Sam: The first book that got accepted was Office Hours, but the first book published was A Wild Older Woman (publisher has since closed and is no longer available). I’m always so scared when a book releases. I love writing so much but it’s part of you, or at least my stories are part of me, and it can be scary putting yourself out there. I wonder if that feeling will ever change.

Me: What can you tell us about your new book?

Sam: I’m never good at these questions lol. I tend to give the entire book away, so how about a blurb. Lori Kinsley is tired of trying to save her father. He gets into one mess after another, and it’s only because she promised her dying mother that she’d keep an eye on him that Lori helps him. He’s now stolen from one of the most dangerous men in the city, Dawg Hampshire, and it’s up to Lori to pay the price.

What does Dawg want?

Simple, he wants her. Dawg has been planning this from the first moment he saw Lori. When she agrees to belong to him, he doesn’t intend to scare her off. He’s in this for forever. He’s seen the darkness in her eyes and intends to find out what put it there. When he learns the truth and Lori’s biggest secret, Dawg knows he will do everything in his power to protect her so she never has to witness that kind of brutality again.

But can Lori allow herself to fall in love with a man who kills? Does she even want to? And when Dawg’s “business” puts her life is in danger, will Lori pick the safety of Dawg’s arms, or leave him?

Me: Good grief! No wonder it’s hot in here! <fanning myself> Got water? I need to douse myself. Anyway, last but not the least, what is your advice to newbie writers?

Sam: Don’t ever give up on your dreams. Write what you love and what fills you with a passion that you just can’t stop. Don’t be afraid to be yourself.

Me: Thanks, Sam!
