Sometimes there’s a book that stops you in your tracks, blows you away and stays with you forever. This is one of those books! I have to admit that I am not a fan of the classics or Wuthering Heights. I didn’t know how the authors, K Webster and Nikki Ash were going to use it for inspiration. I was hesitant but I am glad that I opened this book because it is nothing sort of epic.
This book spans three generations and follows the lives of Caterina and Heath, their kids and grandkids. It’s about a love so epic that it won’t die decades later. It’s about revenge and loss. Somehow, they also threw some taboo into this. <smack my head> Why am I not surprised?
This book made my cry and ache for Heath even though he is not entirely good and his revenge has destroyed some people. This is a book that really shows how our decisions shape the terrain of our lives. If you haven’t read this book, grab your copy now. It’s so different than any other romance book out there.
A modern telling of a classic tale…
This isn’t a typical love story. This is a story of what happens when love is so powerful and all-consuming that it has the ability to destroy everyone involved. It’s definitely not pretty and it’s certainly not a fairytale, but it’s their story and it couldn’t be told any other way.
