Genres: Taboo Treat
Enzo is K Webster’s latest installment in her Taboo World. I love the world she built because there is no hotter sex than “we are not supposed to be having sex” sex. Forbidden sex is my go to whenever I hit a book slump and it helps me get reading again.
Enzo follows the story of Jenna, a young ward of the state teenager, and Enzo, her case worker. I am very surprised by this book because it is a much sweeter romance that K Webster’s usual book. I am honestly unprepared for it. Enzo’s entire being is focused on Jenna’s wellbeing and happiness.
The one thing that you can count on with a K Webster book is that no matter how taboo or unconventional her books might be, it all revolves around love. This book is no different. The love and care Enzo has for Jenna is so palpable that you can’t help but feel this forbidden romance is meant to be. While this is categorized as a taboo, it is more than that. It’s a story about surviving the hard knocks that the world throw your way and finding love in the most unlikely place. Please check it out.
Jenna’s grown up in the system.
Forced to be tough, wary, and hard.
She’s only been able to count on herself.
He’s much older and responsible for looking after her.
What should be a job to him, evolves into much more.
Late night phone calls.
A forbidden fire that burns brighter each day.
Everything about him exudes strength.
His will to protect her is more than she could ever ask for.
Sadly, though, even heroes have their limitations.
But she doesn’t need a hero.
She just needs him.
